The M12 is a modern UFS evolution of the classic Majestic 12s that features a 1-piece UFS soul/bs plate. They are available in standard and “Lo”, which features a lower cuff height.
The M12 is a classic skate that has stood the test of time, and has been rebranded as the Valo V13, as well as the base skate for all skinned models (JJ/EB/TV). In skinned Valo form, the skate came with the original 3-piece soul/mid-soul, or newer 2-piece soul system.
SKINNED VALOS: THE “TOE CUT” MOD
For skinned Valo models, some skaters have had success with the “toe-cut” mod, which involves cutting the top part of the hardshell toe off. Since the skate is skinned, the skin itself offers adequate protection (similar to some soft shell skates). The “toe-cut” mod can help skaters with wide feet, or relieve tight spots in the toe area (which can sometimes allow skaters in between shell sizes to downsize for a more precise fit).

255mm foot. The size 8 fits me best with no room to spare. The size 7 that Roces recommends impossibly tight on my toes, even outside of the shell. Nice skate. If they made a wide version, it would be my skate of choice.
